When Tainan’s profound urban culture meets creative design, what kind of fashion spark will ignite?

 

This year, Tainan’s fashion scene takes an unprecedented approach, guiding you to discover fresh possibilities at the intersection of urban culture and design creativity.
“Structuring Fashion, Weaving the Future”—the 2026 Tainan International Fashion Industry Expo will take place grandly on Wednesday, October 7, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at ICC Tainan, completely free of charge.

 

For the first time, the exhibition incorporates runway shows centered on four core design themes: “Baseball, Agricultural Produce, Religious Temples, and Tainan’s Old & New.” By infusing Tainan’s distinctive urban heritage into apparel and fashion creations, the designs re-interpret familiar local elements, allowing native culture to step onto the runway in unexpected new forms.

 

Sustainability × Innovation × Cross-Sector Synergy: Redefining Fashion
From discarded utility poles and broken baseball bats to oyster shells and Guanmiao pineapple agricultural waste—materials seemingly unrelated to fashion are endowed with new value through design ingenuity.

The exhibition weaves recycled materials, circular reuse, and sustainable design into fashion creations, exploring further possibilities in material regeneration so that “sustainability” transitions from a concept into a unique creative language within apparel design.

 

International Exchange: Connecting Tainan’s Fashion Energy to the World
This year’s event simultaneously invites featured Japanese brands to exhibit in Taiwan, alongside special fashion guests from Japan and South Korea to participate in runway shows, bringing together diverse cultural backgrounds and design perspectives.
Covering fashion brand displays, creative designs, stage performances, and industry networking, the exhibition links domestic and international design forces. Through cross-domain collaboration and international exchange, it showcases the multifaceted nature of regional cultures within fashion creation.

 

From urban culture and lifestyle aesthetics to sustainable creativity, this exhibition utilizes “fashion” as a medium to re-envision Tainan’s cultural depth and innovative vitality—building a comprehensive fashion industry platform that fuses local heritage, creative design, sustainable thinking, and global engagement.

 

On October 7, we invite citizens, fashion enthusiasts, and industry partners to walk into ICC Tainan to explore the endless possibilities of fashion starting from Tainan!
