Introduction:
World Cotton Day was officially established by the United Nations in 2021 and is designated for October 7 each year to celebrate the crucial role cotton plays in global economic, agricultural, and social development.
Cotton is not only the king of natural fibers, but also provides livelihoods for hundreds of millions of farmers and textile workers worldwide. However, facing challenges from climate change and market volatility, the global industry is accelerating toward a sustainable transformation. As a solid partner of the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC), Taiwan naturally will not miss this global gathering.
Centering on the core theme “The Past and Future of Cotton Spinning: A 5-Senses Experience,” this year’s exhibition leads the public from century-old heritage to future sustainable technology. We invite you to follow this soft yet resilient thread to explore deeply how Taiwan’s cotton spinning industry weaves our pride on the international stage with outstanding innovative strength.
