Since its opening in 2022, ICC Tainan has launched more than 20 professional and consumer exhibitions annually. Characteristic exhibitions over the years, such as the Automation Machinery Show and Sense Space Expo, have accumulated strong word-of-mouth. This year, the operations team is hosting its own self-organized exhibition for the first time, bringing together local traditional industries and AI technology sectors while linking capabilities in Shalun green energy, circular economy, and local revitalization to establish a distinct “Tainan Identity.”

In the past, large-scale exhibitions were mostly concentrated in northern Taiwan. ICC Tainan encountered the COVID-19 pandemic during its initial opening phase, making starting out difficult; however, total venue visitors exceeded 1 million for the first time in 2024, providing a strong boost for the venue’s subsequent operations. To continuously drive exhibition visitor traffic, the operations team brainstormed based on local characteristics and will launch “Equitable Taiwan Week” in mid-July this year, bringing together three major themes: Southern Taiwan talent sustainable smart transformation, green energy circular economy, and startup local revitalization. Integrating central ministry resources with local industries, it is expected to feature approximately 300 booths to present the robust strength of the Greater South.

The operations team mentioned that the audience for consumer exhibitions at ICC Tainan mostly comes from the Yunlin-Chiayi-Tainan region, whereas professional exhibitions are not subject to this limitation. For instance, several professional shows introduced in recent years—such as “Sense Space Expo”—differ from general building material exhibitions, attracting many interior designers from northern Taiwan who came specifically for its reputation. It has been held for four consecutive years with impressive attendance.
