In 2024, the Tainan City Government, the Southern Taiwan Science Park Administration, the College of Semiconductor at National Cheng Kung University, SEMI – the international semiconductor industry association, GIS Conference & Consulting Co., Ltd., and ICC Tainan jointly hosted the 2024 Southern Semiconductor Forum – Southern Silicon Island: Talent Sustainability, focusing on innovation and the future of the semiconductor industry in southern Taiwan. The forum’s centerpiece was a landmark “AI Century Dialogue” between AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su and Acer CEO Jason Chen.
