In response to the land-based strong wind advisory issued by the Central Weather Administration (CWA), Typhoon Podul is expected to bring sustained winds of level 9 or higher and gusts of level 11 or higher to Tainan City tomorrow. Given the potential risks to public safety and the likelihood of high winds causing damage, the Tainan City Government has announced the suspension of work and classes for Wednesday, August 13, 2025. This decision is made to safeguard public well-being and allow for emergency response preparations.

Typhoon Podul is moving rapidly and may make landfall with extremely high intensity. Its impact, along with peripheral circulation, is expected to bring short-duration heavy rainfall, particularly from Wednesday afternoon into the evening. Tainan City may experience localized heavy rain, with mountainous areas facing the possibility of heavy to torrential rain. Sea conditions around all coastal areas and the Bashi Channel will worsen, with wave heights exceeding 4 meters. The public is advised to avoid coastal activities.
