Tainan’s “First School Curriculum Expo” Enters Its 7th Year
Spotlighting “Future Learning” with Cross-Temporal, Tech-Integrated Education Innovation

The 2024 Tainan First School Curriculum Expo returns for its seventh year, with the core theme of “Future Learning.” Kicking off on June 11 at ICC Tainan, the event will feature professional development sessions such as the 2025 Forum on Differentiated Instruction with Digital Integration, a Living Library, Online Library, and Hands-on Workshops. The Tainan City Bureau of Education has invited educators and education leaders from across Taiwan to take part in this visionary event and witness the evolving landscape of future-ready learning.

Mayor Huang Wei-Che emphasized that every edition of the First School Curriculum Expo brings fresh breakthroughs and nationwide attention. Each professional exchange offers powerful energy to participants, not only setting new trends but also inspiring hopeful visions for classroom education—visions that actively shape the Bureau of Education’s future policies.

Director-General Cheng Hsin-Hui of the Bureau of Education shared that this year’s expo boldly explores digital integration in classrooms. Through a wide variety of teaching practices, the event will showcase strategies for differentiated instruction, digital innovation, and the concept of the “textbook of the future.” Beyond inviting educators and administrators, the expo welcomes interdisciplinary professionals working closely with the education sector—including representatives from the 5G Smart Learning School Program, 5G Emerging Tech Pilot Schools, and the Smart Education Teacher Training Alliance—underscoring the event’s commitment to cross-sector collaboration and dialogue.

The expo officially opens on June 11 with a Workshop on Differentiated Instruction through Digital Integration, spotlighting Taiwan’s most widely used platforms: Adaptive Learning (因材網), Junyi Academy, Cool English, and LearnMode. Expert educators will lead hands-on sharing and exchange sessions.

At noon, 12 Living Library sessions will take place, where seasoned practitioners serve as “living books,” sharing real-world teaching experiences, strategies, challenges, and solutions—providing participants with meaningful, in-person dialogue and inspiration.

The main event—the Forum on Differentiated Instruction through Digital Integration—will be held in the afternoon, featuring Prof. Kuo Bo-Chen, President of National Taichung University of Education, and Lu Kuan-Wei, CEO & Chairman of Junyi Academy Foundation, with the forum moderated by Bin Jing-Sen, former editor-at-large at Parenting Magazine (親子天下). This forum aims to deepen resonance and spark practical action around tech-enhanced personalized instruction.

In addition, the “Lesson Sharing Month” is already underway as a prelude to the expo, with 57 open class observation and discussion sessions held across various junior high and elementary schools in Tainan since May 12. All event details and live-stream links for the expo forums are available on the official website.(https://eduexpo.tn.edu.tw/2025/Index)
