SINGFUJIA Realty, Inc. has supported Huashan Social Welfare Foundation’s Lunar New Year meal program for solitary seniors for seven consecutive years
May 31, 2024
As the Lunar New Year approaches, elderly individuals living alone often feel even more isolated. In response, the Huashan Social Welfare Foundation has launched the “2025 Year-Round Service and the 22nd Love & Reunion for Seniors” charity program, providing warm holiday meals for seniors in need. Recognizing the foundation’s dedication, SINGFUJIA Realty, Inc. has supported this initiative for seven consecutive years. This year, the company successfully raised 400 meal donations and recently hosted the “SINGFUJIA Realty, Inc. Appreciation Gala & Donation Ceremony” at the East Exhibition Hall of ICC Tainan. The event featured heartwarming footage of employees volunteering with Huashan to deliver meals to solitary seniors on Lunar New Year’s Eve, encouraging more people to join the cause.
While many businesses celebrate the year-end with employee banquets, SINGFUJIA Realty, Inc. has chosen to focus on local seniors who may spend the holiday alone and hungry. In a heartfelt effort, the company rallied its employees to contribute meal donations, ensuring that Huashan Social Welfare Foundation can deliver love and warmth to those in need.
SINGFUJIA Realty, Inc. founder Li Ying-Chi emphasized that this initiative goes beyond corporate social responsibility—it serves as a call for collective kindness. He hopes that more people will join in, turning small acts of goodwill into significant impact, spreading love and warmth throughout the community. Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-Che attended the event, commending SINGFUJIA Realty, Inc. for its dedication to local seniors.
Huashan Social Welfare Foundation remains committed to its mission of mobilizing local support for the elderly. With over 400 service stations across Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu, the foundation assists nearly 30,000 seniors facing challenges such as disability, dementia, or financial hardship. In Tainan alone, the goal is to provide 2,600 meal donations for vulnerable seniors. However, fundraising has fallen short, with only 50% of the target met. The foundation urgently calls for support, with each meal donation costing NT$1,000. Additional funding is also needed for year-round elderly care services, which cost NT$1,250 per person per month or NT$15,000 per person per year.
