The 2025 Tainan Motor Show, which kicked off the day before the 228 long weekend, concluded today after a four-day run. The event attracted over 60,000 visitors, setting a new record for attendance. Exhibitors estimate that the potential business opportunities this year could exceed NT$100 million, with both visitor numbers and on-site orders reaching new highs.
In its third year, the Tainan Motor Show was held at the ICC Tainan. Due to the timing during the 228 long weekend, the organizers had anticipated a large turnout, predicting up to 50,000 visitors. However, on the first day of the 228 holiday, the event saw an unexpected surge of visitors, breaking the 60,000 mark, which also boosted tourism in Tainan.
Mayor Huang Wei-che noted that this year’s Tainan Motor Show was not only loved by people from all over the country, but also saw record-breaking attendance and sales revenue, further increasing the exhibition’s impact and drawing in more crowds.
He added that the exhibition industry plays a crucial role in driving product sales and business exchanges, which are closely tied to urban economic development. Participating in such events is an excellent way for companies to seek business opportunities and gain insights into product and technology trends. The city government has been working to position Tainan as a key hub for various business and exhibition events, using public-private partnerships and diverse business models to promote Tainan’s tourism and business activities.
Xiao Fu-ren, Acting Director of the Economic Development Bureau, pointed out that this year’s exhibition scale reached 550 booths, a record high. Many exhibitors used the platform to launch new products and increase brand exposure. The exhibition saw a large crowd and active business exchanges. He thanked the public for their enthusiastic support and the China Business Times for its dedicated efforts in organizing the largest annual automotive event in southern Taiwan.
On the final day of the exhibition, the grand finale included a performance by a dance troupe and a lottery event. Prizes worth up to NT$35,000, including full-car coating, a cute mini electric motorcycle, forged wheels, and accommodation vouchers for the Jester Hotel, were drawn, attracting many visitors and creating a lively atmosphere.
