The 2nd “Tainan Auto Show,” hosted by the Economic Development Bureau of the Tainan City Government at ICC Tainan, was widely welcomed and successfully concluded on January 29 through the full cooperation of the city government team and private exhibiting enterprises. Large crowds of visitors and vehicles flooded in over the 4-day exhibition period, reaching a peak during the two weekend days. Many participating enterprises enjoyed booming business, attracting a cumulative total of over 40,000 visitors, with on-site transaction values reaching approximately NT$65 million. Furthermore, based on valid prospective clients, potential business opportunities estimated by various exhibiting enterprises are expected to exceed NT$100 million. Both visitor headcount and on-site transaction orders surpassed last year, bringing immense economic benefits to the Tainan area and allowing Tainan’s MICE industry to continuously thrive.

Mayor Huang Wei-che stated that Tainan has gathered high-tech and cultural-creative industries in recent years, not only leaping forward as a key stronghold for knowledge-economy development, but also establishing ICC Tainan as a landmark construction connecting with the international stage, making Tainan an emerging base for domestic and international MICE exchanges. The city government will continue to vie for advantageous industries, combine resources from all sectors to organize professional exhibitions, and seek to host various types of consumer exhibitions. This will not only revitalize Tainan’s MICE industry, but also drive the development of related industries such as travel agencies, transportation, and hotels, creating more employment opportunities and economic benefits for Tainan while attracting more crowds to advance into Tainan!

Director-General Lin Jung-chuan of the Economic Development Bureau stated that more than 120 enterprises participated in this year’s exhibition, with numerous vendors taking advantage of this exhibition platform for new product launches and brand exposure. Continuous streams of crowds throughout the exhibition created excellent display benefits, and on-site business exchanges were also exceptionally active, pushing both visitor count and transaction volumes to record highs. On the afternoon of the final exhibition day, the grand finale featuring dance performances and a spending-reward lucky draw with NT$10,000 prizes took place at the stage area, attracting many citizens to participate, creating a very lively atmosphere on site.

As the city’s shop window, ICC Tainan will welcome a series of exciting exhibition events in 2024, key activities including the 23rd World Orchid Conference & 20th Taiwan International Orchid Show, Tainan Rubber & Plastics Industry Show, Automation Machinery & Smart Manufacturing Show, Tainan International Tourism & Food Festival & Taiwan Top 100 Souvenir Exhibition, International Green Industry Expo, and Tainan Taste Week, among others.
