Featuring over 90 exhibitors across 260 booths, the event serves as a premier marketing and exchange platform for the industry. The program includes high-level industrial forums, corporate sharing sessions, and international online matchmaking events designed to foster collaboration and create global market opportunities.

Tainan City Mayor Huang Wei-cher highlighted that Tainan is home to approximately 1,200 plastics and rubber manufacturers with an annual output value exceeding NT$67 billion, making it a cornerstone of the city’s economy. The plastics and rubber sectors have long been the bedrock of Taiwan’s manufacturing industry, with applications spanning from consumer goods and electronic components to automotive, medical, and high-end industrial sectors. To assist local firms in entering global markets, this year’s event features more than 10 international matchmaking sessions with overseas buyers. The city government remains committed to promoting such exhibitions to provide high-quality platforms for industrial growth.

Chang Ting-yuan, Director-General of the Bureau of Economic Development, noted that the exhibition offers a comprehensive look at the industry across five specialized zones: Processing Machinery & Equipment, Molds & Components, Raw Materials & Products, Peripheral Accessories, and Associations. This layout presents a full “one-stop” view of the upstream, midstream, and downstream supply chain, with a specific focus on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) applications within the plastics and rubber industries. The event also features two forums on sustainable development and three corporate sharing sessions led by industry experts and business owners.

The 2026 Tainan Plastics & Rubber Industrial Show runs from March 18 to March 21 at ICC Tainan. Doors are open daily from 10:00 to 17:00 (closing at 16:00 on the final day), and admission is free. Visitors can participate in daily check-in events and lucky draws, with the grand prize—an iPhone 17—to be drawn on the final day. This year’s event features over 90 exhibitors across 260 booths, complemented by industrial forums, exchange sessions, and international online matchmaking events. Mayor Huang emphasized his hope that this platform will foster industrial marketing, exchange, and new market opportunities.

During his keynote, Mayor Huang highlighted the critical role of the petrochemical industry, noting that it produces not only essential raw materials but also energy for power generation. Referencing NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang’s “Five-Layer AI Cake” theory from the recent GTC (GPU Technology Conference), the Mayor stressed that energy is the foundation of power, power drives computing, and computing capacity is a direct measure of national strength. He underscored that the petrochemical industry remains an indispensable resource for Taiwan’s energy supply.

Furthermore, Mayor Huang pointed out that the plastics and rubber industries are deeply intertwined with daily life—from food and clothing to housing and transportation. Advancements in these manufacturing sectors directly benefit humanity. He expressed his desire for the exhibition to serve as a hub where domestic and international professionals can exchange ideas, spark innovation, and showcase Taiwan’s industrial prowess to the world.

Due to popular demand, she has officially announced a brand-new tour, promising to push the boundaries of both visual and auditory performance. To add to the excitement, she is simultaneously releasing her new album, The Music World , making it a double celebration for the beloved star.

“The applause from last year still echoes in my ears,” Chang remarked emotionally. “As a daughter of Tainan, there is no greater happiness than singing in my hometown. I thought one show would fulfill my dream, but the passion of the fans never stopped. Since everyone wants to see more, I’ve decided to go all out with this 2.0 upgraded version!”

The “Spicy Girl Arrives 2” concert features a complete overhaul of the setlist, blending classic Hokkien golden hits with high-energy modern dance tracks. The stage production has also been fully upgraded with a new design ensuring that Chang Hsiu-ching will be “clearly visible” to every fan, even those in the last row or corner seats.

Fans can look forward to a powerhouse setlist including her legendary signature song “Station”, the high-octane title track from her previous album “Spicy Girl Arrives,” and the live debut of the title track from her upcoming album, “The Music World.” Tickets for the “Spicy Girl Arrives 2” concert are now available through the Ticket Plus system and ibon kiosks. Don’t miss your chance to witness the “Spicy Girl” in her prime!

Tainan Prison Warden Chiu Tai-Min, who is leading the event, noted that the booths will be set up in collaboration with local rehabilitation associations and will offer a wide range of inmate-made products, spanning food items, personal care products, and household essentials.

In addition to sales, the event will include a static exhibition area showcasing 240 pieces of traditional crafts, visual arts, and cultural creations by inmates. These works reflect the event’s theme, “Art as Heritage, Sunrise of Renewal”, symbolizing the hope that inmates, like the rising sun, can rebuild their lives and reintegrate into society.

Minister of Justice Cheng Ming-Chien emphasized that many inmates are highly talented individuals who unfortunately took the wrong path in life. Through cultural and artistic programs, the Ministry aims to redirect them toward positive development, often helping them discover artistic gifts they never knew they had.

Director-General of the Agency of Corrections Lin Hsien-Ming further highlighted that while correctional institutions typically operate quietly behind the scenes, this exhibition provides an opportunity to showcase the outcomes of restorative justice and the transformative power of education and vocational training within Taiwan’s correctional system.

As central and local governments, alongside private sectors, bring their blueprints to life, the region has officially entered its “harvest phase.” It is evolving into a premier international gateway, combining national strategic significance, a major transportation hub, and high-end medical resources—driving intense interest in the local real estate market.

From the Shalun Smart Green Energy Science City and the Academia Sinica Southern Campus to ICC Tainan, this “Golden Belt” paved by national budgets has transformed the district from a mere transit stop into a globalized city. The recent groundbreaking of the National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) Shalun Hospital, witnessed by President Lai Ching-te, marks the final piece of the “Medical, Technology, and Lifestyle” trinity. This facility will significantly enhance medical convenience for the Guiren and Rende districts, playing a pivotal role in elevating public resources and quality of life.

Under the “New Southern Silicon Valley Plan,” the Tainan HSR District is beginning its next chapter, fueled by national policy and funding. To accommodate the surging demand of the semiconductor and AI sectors, the STSP Phase 4 expansion has been officially submitted to the Executive Yuan, with development expected to begin in 2027. With tech giants like AMD, Wistron, and Phison Electronics establishing a presence, alongside the research prowess of NYCU’s Shalun Campus, a powerful “Industry-Academia-Research” magnet effect is taking hold.

As the high-tech cluster expands, the Tainan HSR District has become a preferred destination for tech talent and elite families, drawn by its high-efficiency commuting, low-density living environment, and maturing infrastructure. The “HSR Rear Station” living circle, in particular, has garnered market attention due to its highly concentrated amenities and promising prospects.

This vibrant living circle boasts the convenience of the Mitsui OUTLET PARK and will soon welcome Japanese retailers Nishimatsuya and LOPIA. Furthermore, Taiwan’s first K-12 Shalun School District adds significant value, offering a bilingual education system from kindergarten to high school. The high school curriculum features the OSSD (Ontario Secondary School Diploma) dual-credit system, allowing students to obtain a Canadian high school diploma—a key attraction for international talent and tech-driven families.

As construction dividends materialize, entry barriers to the real estate market are rising. Surging construction costs and land prices have turned the district’s previous “NT$300,000 per ping” price point into a historical floor. Consequently, move-in-ready homes that allow buyers to immediately benefit from infrastructure dividends have become increasingly rare in the market.

While recent transaction records in the area have climbed to the NT$400,000–$500,000 range, the project “Jia Shun Da Fu” (佳順大富) is entering the market at the NT$300,000 level during this critical valuation period. Unlike pre-sale properties that carry risks of construction delays or policy changes, completed homes offer immediate quality inspection. For homebuyers, 2-to-3-bedroom units with lighter financial entry points allow them to convert monthly rent into an asset that benefits from regional growth, inflation resistance, and long-term appreciation.

With national projects advancing and the AI industry landscape taking shape, the region is entering a phase of revaluation. Securing a position in “Jia Shun Da Fu” at this juncture offers an immediate advantage in capturing the next wave of development dividends in Southern Taiwan.

The evening culminated in a grand lucky draw featuring prizes valued at nearly NT$1.5 million—ranging from premium appliances to travel vouchers—turning the professional gathering into a star-studded corporate carnival.

Tainan City Mayor Huang Wei-cher, Director-General of the Bureau of Land Administration Chen Shu-mei, and Legislator Chen Ting-fei personally attended to offer their congratulations. Mayor Huang commended Singyih Home for its deep roots and contributions to the local market, stating that innovative companies maintaining professional integrity are vital drivers of regional economic vitality during challenging times.

Since its inception, Singyih Home Group has operated under the philosophy that “Real estate is an extension of happiness,” placing corporate social responsibility at its core. Now in its eighth year of partnership with the Huashan Social Welfare Foundation, the group continues its “Send Love Home” initiative. To date, it has donated over 4,000 New Year meals valued at nearly NT$3 million to elderly individuals living alone. This year, 50 employees volunteered to personally deliver meals, transforming corporate care into tangible warmth for the community.

Addressing the wave of digital transformation, Chairman Li Ying-chi announced a comprehensive reform at the gala: Singyih Home will fully integrate AI-driven mindsets across its marketing and internal operations to achieve digital integration and efficiency upgrades. The group is enhancing professional training, launching social media coaching for staff, and implementing paperless e-systems and data synchronization to bridge the information gap between front-line and back-office teams, ensuring real-time and precise service.

Strategically, the group plans to expand its footprint into high-growth areas such as Annan District and the Shalun HSR District. Chairman Li emphasized that the group will continue to recruit young talent and strengthen its nation-wide co-brokerage system to accelerate transaction efficiency, helping clients find their ideal properties faster and with greater peace of mind.

Entering its 21st year, Singyih Home Group has evolved beyond a real estate agency into a symbol of trust and security. Through digital innovation, social engagement, and talent development, Singyih Home is stepping into its next two decades with a forward-looking vision for a happier future.

To honor the partners who have fueled this transformation, the STSP Bureau of the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) hosted the “STSP at 30: Moving Forward Together” gala at ICC Tainan. The event drew high-level dignitaries, including Executive Yuan Advisor Li Meng-yan, Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs Ho Chin-tsang, and Deputy Minister of the Ocean Affairs Council Wu Hsin-hsiu, joining representatives from across sectors to review three decades of growth and chart a blueprint for the next generation.

NSTC Minister Wu Cheng-wen remarked that STSP has grown from the ground up to become a pivotal global hub for the semiconductor and AI industries. Amidst the new wave of AI-centric technology, the government is spearheading the “10 New AI National Projects,” leveraging semiconductors as the industrial engine and AI as the primary driver to accelerate Taiwan’s transition into a “Smart Tech Island.” STSP will continue to play a critical role in the development of the “New Southern Silicon Valley.”

STSP Bureau Director-General Cheng Hsiu-jung noted that the park’s steady growth is the result of long-term corporate commitment and seamless collaboration between central and local governments, academia, and the medical sector. Since the park’s output value first crossed the NT$300 billion threshold in 2005, it has seen twenty years of robust accumulation, with 2025 projections nearing NT$3 trillion—underscoring STSP’s status as a fundamental pillar of Taiwan’s high-tech economy.

A centerpiece of the event was the “Contribution to STSP” awards, which presented honors such as the “STSP Bedrock Award,” “Excellence in Growth Award,” “Park Pioneer Award,” and “Sustainable Growth Award” to key enterprises that laid the foundation for the park’s success. The gala also featured a keynote by TSMC Executive Vice President and Co-COO Y.P. Chyn, titled “30 Years of STSP: Growing Together with TSMC.” Chyn shared the pivotal history of TSMC establishing Fab 6 at STSP—which at the time was the world’s largest 8-inch wafer fab. He emphasized that this strategic decision was the moment the global community began to take notice of STSP. As the park’s first major tenant, TSMC’s continuous investment in advanced processes has not only bolstered Taiwan’s competitive edge but also epitomizes the industrial strength and development potential STSP has accumulated.

At this “30-year inflection point,” STSP is committed to further harmonizing high-tech development with ecological sustainability. By strengthening park resilience and linking with local communities, the bureau aims to create an environment ideal for both living and professional innovation. Standing on thirty years of achievement, STSP will continue to work alongside all sectors to face future challenges and write the next chapter of shared prosperity.

As the first major tenant, TSMC’s continued investment in advanced processes has secured Taiwan’s global competitive edge and marked STSP’s transition from a local park to the world stage.

Nearly 400 representatives celebrated this milestone, witnessing the realization of the “New Southern Silicon Valley.” At its 30-year inflection point, STSP aims to deepen the harmony between high-tech development and ecological sustainability. This year’s exhibition features over 100 exhibitors and 520 booths, reaching full venue capacity. As the first major automotive event of the early spring, the show serves as a premier platform for top automotive, motorcycle, and heavy machinery brands to debut their 2026 models alongside the latest components and aftermarket accessories.

Tainan City Mayor Huang Wei-cher stated during the opening that the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) industry generates significant indirect benefits by stimulating surrounding businesses and local economies. He emphasized that the city’s proactive support and integration of private resources have successfully fostered high-scale, sustainable exhibition brands. “After three years of government subsidies and mentorship, the Tainan Autoshow has developed the capacity for independent private-sector operation,” Mayor Huang noted, highlighting the city’s maturing professional exhibition capabilities.

Chang Ting-yuan, Director-General of the Bureau of Economic Development, pointed out that now in its fourth year, the Tainan Autoshow presents a comprehensive look at the industry—from local supply chains and two-wheeler sectors to new vehicle types and lifestyle applications. This policy-driven support has built a mature “industrial ecosystem” that showcases Tainan’s technological innovation and its status as a critical automotive hub in Southern Taiwan. Furthermore, this year’s show integrates with the Tainan Shopping Festival, offering visitors double lucky draw entries for on-site purchases, effectively turning industrial achievements into a driver for urban consumption.

The Bureau of Economic Development added that the four-day event is more than just a trade show; it is a professional exchange platform blending industry trends, camping lifestyles, modification aesthetics, and biker culture. A highlight of the weekend will be a massive heavy motorcycle gathering, featuring nearly 400 bikes and 18 elite clubs, including Harley-Davidson and Indian Motorcycle.

The exhibition also features diverse stage performances, brand promotions, and interactive lucky draws. Visitors can receive lucky draw tickets for every NT$500 spent (up to 10 tickets), with prizes ranging from dashcams and hotel vouchers to premium helmets.
